Coronation Street actress Sair Khan has been announced as The British Asian Trust's latest ambassador, joining the likes of Zayn Malik, Naughty Boy, Sanjeev Bhaskar and Nina Wadia in the role.

Khan commented 'I'm delighted and honoured to be involved with The British Asian Trust, the work they do challenges taboo subjects that we must raise awareness of - I want to use my involvement to help engage people, drive them to acknowledge and take action against issues such as trafficking'. The trust aims to provide funding to support charities improving education, health and livelihoods in South Asia.
